The annual Rock the Runway student fashion competition was held on March 10, 2012, at Kent State University. The theme was "A Celestial Space Odyssey," and students featured space and light in their designs.
The winning student designs were:
Judges' Choice Winner: Intergalactic Atlantis by Amy Tiefermann & Erin Marvinney
Audience Choice Winner: Futuristic Perceptions by Shannon Lowry & Kiara Tillman
Judges for the event were Julie Stanley, a photographer who has been published in Vogue, Lucky, Allure and InStyle magazines, Lucia Murillo, Vice-President, Design, for Tween Brands, and Ryan Haber, shoe designer.
