Wear your pride on your t-shirt

“Spreading Cleveland pride, one t-shirt at a time” is the C.L.E. Clothing Co. slogan that speaks for itself.

High school friends turned entrepreneurs Mike Kubinski and Jeff Rees were looking to fill a void when they started their t-shirt company, and that is what they did.

“Everyone loves t-shirts,” said Kubinski, “and I wanted to create t-shirts of Cleveland sports teams that I wanted to wear, something that I haven’t seen before.”

The simple but creative and innovative ideas were designs that no one had seen before, thus creating the C.L.E. Clothing Co. customer base. Since then, the assortment has expanded beyond sports, reflective of other distinctive Cleveland characteristics, and will continue to grow.

Kubinski explained the target objective of the company as, “making a positive outlook on Cleveland and using t-shirts to show it.” Aware of the many misconceptions of the city, he truly wants to have an encouraging influence on the local and national population.

C.L.E. Clothing Co. has been featured in Cleveland Magazine and Messy Magazine, as well as on NewsChannel5. The “word of mouth” marketing strategy seems to be working quite well for the business.

All C.L.E. Clothing Co. garments are made in the U.S.A. and printed locally here in Northeastern Ohio. Currently, the local retail boutique Room Service carries a specific selection of the t-shirts, and the process of adding more shops to the list is in the works.

All C.L.E. Clothing Co. styles can be viewed and purchased at www.cleclothingco.com. Keep checking back for the newly added girl’s tote bags this season, and be ready to sport Cleveland pride with hoodies that will join the collection in Fall ’09.
